Local Reservists back in states

About 85 members of the local Army Reserve unit were deployed April 23 to Iraq. They’re back in the United States, but nobody is certain when they’ll be with their families. Obama marked the end of the Iraq war last week, meeting with troops at Fort Bragg, N.C., and welcoming Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to the White House.

The Village of Matteson maintains many parks. Additionally, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County abuts the northern boundary of the municipality. When you visit US take some time off and visit Matteson. Don’t forget to carry a visitor insurance while coming to US as the medical expenses are very high in the US. The Old Plank Rd Multi-Use trail makes up the southern boundary.

Matteson is conveniently located 35 miles south of Downtown Chicago. Interstate 57 runs through the village. Additionally, it is bisected by many state routes such Lincoln Highway (Route 30), Cicero Avenue (IL Route 50), and Harlem Avenue (IL Route 43) Matteson is within ten miles of Interstates 294, 80, 94, and 394. The Metra Electric Line serves the municipality with daily service to Downtown Chicago via two stations (211th Street and Downtown Matteson).
